Deep Public School, D-2, Vasant Kunj, conducted a morning assembly on World Wetlands Day 2024 on 30 January 2024. All the students, teachers, and Head of the school took the Wetland Mitra Pledge as part of the Save Wetland campaign. The pledge aimed to create awareness about the importance of wetland conservation. All participants, including students and teachers, gained an understanding of the significance of wetland conservation.

    A Workshop at Vasant Kunj Police Station

    Students of IX and XI from Deep Public School, Vasant Kunj, visited Vasant Kunj Police Station on January 30, 2024, for a workshop. They learned the rules and regulations of life through real-life examples and were thankful to the management for organizing this workshop.They also learned about road safety rules and regulations as January 15 to February 14 is observing Road Safety Month.

      In the month of January,2024, students from Deep Public School actively engaged in activities centered
      around raising awareness about 'Say No to single-use plastic'. This initiative, started by SKV Rajkori
      School, began with a collective pledge in the assembly. All students and staff committed to taking
      individual and community-level actions to reduce plastic usage, fostering a united effort to create a
      greener and healthier planet. Various activities, including speeches, essay writing, quiz competitions,
      and slogan creation, were conducted as part of the program. The students participated with immense
      enthusiasm, deepening their understanding of plastic pollution and recognizing the urgency to address
      this issue promptly. Throughout these activities, students generated numerous ideas that can be easily
      implemented to reduce single-use plastic. This initiative is significant, considering that students
      represent the younger generation of our country, and it is essential for them to comprehend their
      responsibilities toward the environment.

The celebration was graced by the presence of honourable chief guest Group Captain Anupam Banerjee VSM (Retd.) , the school management as well as the respected parents of the students. The day was filled with josh and a showcase of delightful performances by the students of the Vasant Kunj branch along with the little stars from the Fatehpur Beri branch of Deep Public School.

            Say No To Drugs - Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA)

            The Ministry of Social Justice, Govt. of India in collaboration with The Art of Living Trust has started Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) for accomplishing the objective of creating awareness regarding drug de-addiction among school students. 
            In accordance with this project, the students of Deep Public School took part in various activities to promote a healthy lifestyle such as Yoga, meditation and Poster Making. The school also organised a march spreading the message of "SAY NO TO DRIGS".

              Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti is celebrated every year on 23 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, one of India's most prominent freedom fighters. The day is celebrated as 'Parakram Diwas' or Courage Day. This year marks the 127th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The students of our school presented the assembly on 23/1/24 on Parakram Diwas, remembering the patriot, Subash Chandra Bose ,who played a major role in the struggle for freedom for our nation.

                On Monday, 22 January 2024, 40 students from Deep Public School had the delightful opportunity of visiting Major Dhyanchand National Stadium to witness the Grand Finale of the National Band Competition 2024. Several schools participated in the competition and the students enjoyed a unique and entertaining experience.

                  Hawan & Pooja in honour of Ram Mandir's Consecration Ceremony

                  On January 22nd, 2024, the long-awaited consecration ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya finally took place. In honour of this auspicious occasion Deep Public School organised a special pooja and havan within the school premises. The rituals were attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff along with the students. Students of classes Xth and XIIth also participated in the pooja to seek blessings and good luck for the upcoming CBSE Board exams. The session ended on a calm and wholesome note with all hearts full of gratitude. The Arti blessings were followed by the distribution of prashad.

                    Deep Public School students engaged in various activities, reflecting the significance of Makar Sankranti. Senior students conducted seminars during the morning assembly, emphasizing the importance of Makar Sankranti in correlation with solar science and Aditya mission. The middle wing organized an essay writing competition based on Makar Sankranti. Nursery and junior students participated in different art activities.

                    Overall, all the students and teachers were happy to get the opportunity to learn about the cultural diversity and heritage of our country. They expressed their gratitude to the school mangement.

                      Every year on January 12, National Youth Day is observed all over India in schools and colleges. National Youth Day holds immense significance as it represents the embodiment of Swami Vivekanand's faith in empowering the youth for the transformation of society for the better. He believed that youth is the best and most precious time of life, and how one spends this period decides what the future holds for them.

                      This year, on the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, the students of Deep Public School organized a basket of activities merged with Pariksha Pe Charcha like Marathon run, small videos, testimonials by students, poster-making competition, Yoga-cum-meditation sessions, talks during school assembly, songs by students, etc. They were thankful to the team of CBSE for giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent.
