On Thursday, 30th November 2023, Deep Public School had the absolute delight of welcoming to its humble campus Dr. Jatinkumar Harjivandas Soni, Founder and former Vice Chancellor, Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar.

With a total contribution of 38+ years to sports in the capacity of a sportsman, coach, mentor, as well as sports administrator, Dr. Jatin disseminated functional and valuable insights about the role of an educator and the importance of sports and physical fitness in the lives of students.

The teaching staff was pleased with a stimulating exchange of ideas on the concept of the holistic development of students and the various approaches required to accomplish the same. The school management expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Soni, for taking the time to grace the school and staff with his presence and invigorating words.

On 29^th November 2023, 10 students from Deep Public School got the golden opportunity  to visit the Nehru Planetarium to attend an interactive session on ‘ISRO's story from Bicycle and Bullocks to Chandrayaan 3 ‘. The Prime Minister's Museum and Library Society Planetarium organised  an insightful and instructive workshop on ISRO's magnificent journey and huge leap in the space industry. The students visited the sky theatre to learn about the various constellations. They also gained an understanding of the upcoming ISRO project like the Gaganyaan , Aditya -L1 and Chandrayaan 4. To make things even more interesting, the Planetarium organised a hydro- rocket project demonstration to inspire the young minds to pursue the studies of Cosmology and Astrophysics.

Team building activities to motivate employees often improve their work ethics. Fun experiences like outdoor games refresh employees, provide opportunities for team motivation, and increase productivity. On 24th November, a badminton competition was organised for the teachers as part of team building activities and the winners were awarded medals. Teachers not only felt motivated but also energised and took part with a lot of enthusiasm.

The festival Diwali or Deepawali gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. Many Hindus associate the festival with Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and wife of Vishnu. To celebrate this festival and seek the blessings of Goddess Laxmi, Laxmi Pujan was done in the school premises by the Management along with the staff on 8 November 2023.

With a plethora of career options available in contemporary times, the role of a career counselling session becomes indispensable. With this in view, a Career Counselling session was organized by Deep public school for parents of Class 12students on 4 November 2023 to explore the various career options for students in all the three streams- Science, Commerce and Humanities.
Miss Kavya the guest speaker very deligently explained the importance of career planning in a students life. She gave various options to students to explore & plan their carreer. The session concluded with an interactive question & answer round both by the parents and students.The entire session was not only informative but also opened up various avenues for the students.

On 02 November 2023, the school organized an Inter-House Badminton Competition for girls of classes IX - XI. Students from all four houses participated in big numbers while students from classes VI - XII cheered them on along with the teachers. It was a fun filled and thrilling activity brimming with zeal, sportsmanship, and a healthy spirit of competition. After displaying tremendous talent and skills, Bhumika (Class XI) and Urooz (Class IX) of Ravi House bagged the First and Second positions, respectively, while Gunjan (Class X) of Brahmaputra House secured the Third position.

Considering the deteriorating AQI of the city and the ever increasing level of pollution, it was felt that there was a need to take some constructive actions and spread awareness about controlling pollution and improving the air quality in Delhi.

On 3^rd November 2023, under the guidance of the principal and teachers, the students of Deep Public School organized a special Morning Assembly to educate all the students on the prevailing conditions of the air toxicity and the steps required to bring pollution under control. The entire staff, along with the student body, took an oath to do their part in the fight against pollution and fulfill the role of a responsible citizen of the country.

To further aid the cause, the school formed a committee to check the burning of fire crackers. Students were motivated to perform small act of kindness on the occasion of Diwali and use public transport or school buses to avoid the use of personal vehicles.
