Workshop on HPV Vaccine- It’s role in young girls

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” With this powerful thought at its heart, Deep Public School organized a highly informative Workshop on the HPV Vaccine and Its Role in Young Girls on 13th May, 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Richa Katiyar, a renowned Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Director at Hope Health Care, Vasant Kunj.

The primary aim of the workshop was to raise awareness about the importance of the HPV vaccine in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases among young girls. The enlightening session was attended by students from Classes 6 to 12.

The event began with a warm and inspiring welcome by our visionary Head of School, Ms. Monika Verma. Dr. Richa Katiyar then delivered an insightful talk on the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) — covering its modes of transmission, symptoms, and, most importantly, how timely vaccination can act as a shield against several serious health risks.

To make the session engaging, an interactive quiz was organized, in which students participated with enthusiasm, asking questions and clearing their doubts. The lively and participative atmosphere ensured that the young audience not only gained valuable knowledge but also enjoyed the experience.

The workshop proved instrumental in dispelling myths, addressing fears, and empowering students to make informed health decisions for their future.

The session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Vice Principal, Dr. Shweta Singh Chauhan, who expressed her gratitude to Dr. Richa Katiyar for her enlightening presentation, and to all the students and staff for making the event a success. The programme was ably organized by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Vashistha, director.

Overall, it was a fruitful and awareness-enhancing workshop that left a lasting impact on the students, reinforcing the message of preventive healthcare as a key to a healthy life.

10th May 2025 was a day brimming with warmth, joy, and heartfelt emotions as Deep Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm. The school campus came alive with smiles and affection as mothers were welcomed with specially crafted badges, lovingly made by the students themselves — a beautiful gesture of gratitude and love.

The celebration began with a tender moment when two tiny tots from Pre-Primary warmly badged Ms. Monika Verma, Head of School, and recited a sweet welcome rhyme. This was followed by a melodious group song, “Meri Maa”, dedicated to the unconditional love and sacrifices of mothers, which touched every heart in the audience.

Throughout the two-hour celebration, the air was filled with laughter and cheer as mothers participated in a variety of fun-filled games. Class I students added to the delight with an adorable action song “Mum-Mum-MMMddadda”, making everyone smile with their innocent charm.

The programme was a beautiful blend of performances — a poignant skit, expressive dance numbers, heartfelt poems, and a special Tribute to Mom that brought tears of joy and pride to many eyes. The highlight of the event was the Fashion Show for Mothers, where the proud moms walked the ramp with grace and elegance, cheered on by their children and fellow parents. It was a moment of pure celebration, as every mother radiated happiness and confidence.

Adding to the sparkle of the day was the Talent Show, where mothers showcased their varied talents — singing, dancing, poetry, and more — making it a truly participative and lively event.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks presented by the Vice Principal, acknowledging the efforts of students, teachers, and most importantly, the mothers whose presence made the day truly special. Prizes were distributed by Ms. Monika Verma, who appreciated the spirit and enthusiasm shown by all the mothers.

In her Closing Note, Ms. Monika Verma beautifully summed up the emotions of the day by cheering all mothers to remain strong, resilient, and graceful, no matter what life brings.
