                Yoga from beginning

Yoga holds a special place in Indian culture. It is an ancient practice that started in India more than 5,000 years ago. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which means to join or unite. It teaches us to unite our body, mind, and soul.

Yoga includes physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dhyana). These help in improving our concentration, reducing stress, and keeping our body strong and disease- free. That is why yoga is taught in many Indian schools today.India has gifted yoga to the whole world. In fact, 21st June is celebrated as International Yoga Day, which was first proposed by India in the United Nations.Improves flexibility, strength, and posture. Enhances lung capacity and improves breathing through pranayama (breathing exercises).Boosts immunity and improves circulation.Helps in weight management and keeps the body fit and active.

Students of Primary Wing attended this session in proper supervision of our physical education teacher and enjoyed a lot.
