CELEBRATES 75 th INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH PATRIOTIC FERVOR
Deep Public School celebrated 75 th Independence Day with the same pride and joy that every Indian across the globe experienced. The Flag hoisting was a solemn event which was followed by a cultural programme. A plethora of activities were organized to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students. The celebrations commenced with a choir who sang a melodious patriotic song, gave speeches and recitation of poems by students in both Hindi and English followed by the Principal’s address to the students and staff. In her speech, Madam Principal began by congratulating the students and staff for putting up a wonderful Independence Day program. She stressed on the role of individual and the power of an individual in making the Country great. As citizens, she said, we must constantly ask ourselves how we can contribute in making India better and stronger. The last three waves of COVID-19 pandemic were a great example of how each one of us rose to go through the pandemic and still stay strong, she said. She added that the beauty amidst this great tragedy has been that humanity wasn’t lost, be it from the food delivery person to all the frontline workers, each individual stepped up to help others. She encouraged the students to stand up to injustice, to speak up on behalf of those who are unable to, to be accountable for their actions and to do their bit to help alleviate misery that still exists.
